Gripseal Gripflex is a flexible, sealing and weather-proofing compound.
Gripseal Gripflex this is a water-based, non-toxic, clear, easy to use, sealing and weather-proofing compound that has 1001 applications. It is cures to form a highly flexible
clear seal that can be painted. Gripflex does not dry out, chip of flake. Gripflex can also be used in conjuction with membranes,e.g fibreglass, nylon, hessian, cloth etc.
When mixed with river sand or sawdust it can be used as a joint filler and can also be tinted to match the colourson the application.
When Gripflex is used in an application such as ponds where the product will be submerged in water, a minimum of 7 days curing time is required. Is tough, flexible and
abrasion resistant, single component product, self crosslinking, excellent clarity (can be used for clear coating), excellent adhesion onto variety of substrates, excellent water
resistant, non-yellowing and fast drying.
Product applications:
Pools, kio ponds, ponds, dams, roofs, concrete slabs, parapetwalls, joints, cracks, shade cloth awnings, tents, etc.
How to use:
1. Ensure that the surface is free from dust, dirt, grease, oil, stains and solvents. Check that the surface is sufficiently porous (see porosity test).
2. Use brush, sponge, sponge roller or spray gun to apply. Do not apply direct sunlight, for best results apply 2 thin even coats. On surface with low porosity apply thin coats.
Allow 20 minutes between coats and 12 hours for the sealant to cure completely.
3. Clean Gropseal applicators with clean water directly after application.
Coverage: 8 - 10 square metre per litre per coat - depending on surface porosity.
